Assoc. Prof. Dr. Petra Barišić
Tourism & Management Expert — Visiting Professor, AFSM MBA
Dr Barišić is a distinguished scholar from the Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb. She completed her bachelor’s, postgraduate specialist, and doctoral studies at the University of Zagreb with top academic honours.
Her expertise includes social media in tourism, destination branding, transportation policy, tourism promotion, and air transport management. She has taught at leading institutions such as the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management (USA) and has collaborated across universities in the USA, Portugal, France, and Greece.
As a reviewer for journals such as Tourism Management and Tourism Marketing, she actively contributes to academic and industry advancement. Her presence at AFSM brings rigorous scholarship, practical insight, and a global perspective — significantly enriching the professional development of our MBA students.
Prof. Prafulla Acharya (PhD c.)
Executive Leadership & Management Consultant — AFSM MBA, ABD & DBA Programs
One of AFSM’s founding members, Prof. Acharya is an experienced leadership consultant whose career spans three continents. His exposure to diverse business and cultural environments across Europe, India, South America, and North America gives him a rare global outlook.
A PhD candidate at Bradford School of Management (UK), he holds an MS in Business Administration from Stockholm University, with additional advanced training from Cornell University, Aston University, and Stockholm University.
He has taught leadership, business administration, and research methods at institutions including Mälardalens University (Sweden), UPB University (Bolivia), and MKFC Stockholm, and has supervised numerous master’s theses.
His professional background includes roles as:
- management consultant
- international program manager
- project administrator
- business development leader within European universities
