Tax research skills: Extensive work in IRS issues for Form 1040; Form 1120, Form 990 and Form 1065.
- Hospital/Reimbursement Accounting – Experience with the preparation of Medicare Cost Reporting in the areas of DSH (Disproportionate Share Hospital) section of the annual cost reports. Experience also includes issues or hemophilia and renal dialysis cost reporting. Experience in the research of authoritative regulation and Medicare law. Consulting was initially done pro bono. The organization is in the process of incorporating in Florida. Management Consulting Issues: My consulting services included the formation of nonprofit organization based on Florida Statutes. Worked on the articles of incorporation and corporate by-laws. Currently, I am working with the founders in defining their mission statement, HR policies and procedures, and financing arrangements. Accounting Issues: I am also working with their treasurer to set up the corporation’s accounting system, from the ground up, including finding the appropriate software to match their needs. Taxation Issues: I will also be working on the corporation’s application for its IRC 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service.

Worked with various insurance claims’ (insurance claims’ accounting) related to hurricane damages affecting Tower Hill’s customers.
